Pre-announcement

Good morning to teachers and pupils. I would like to invite all the guests and
spectators to be seated as our Poetry Recitation Competition will begin shortly.

Greetings

Welcome to the Poetry Recitation Competition, 2019. Let’s say good morning to
everyone and thank you all for being here. My name is Ng Yunxu and I’ll be hosting
today’s competition.

First off, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our team of judges,

i. ROHAIZARD BIN ADBUL RAHAMAN FROM SK KG BETONG

ii. NORSAHHIDAH BI JURID FROM SK CHEPIR and
iii. AINUL MARDIYAH BI AZIZII FROM SK KOTA AUR

who are going to be the adjudicators for this competition

AND ABDUL HAFIZ BIN MAHAMAD ZABIDIN FROM SK TELOI TIMUR AS THE TIME
KEEPER.

I’m also delighted to welcome our contestants, teachers and pupils who joined us
this morning. We are very honoured to have all of you present here. WELCOME AGAIN
TO POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION FOR LEVEL 2, PKG MANIR, 2017.

Now we are going to start. Before we begin, please allow me to deliver the rules and regulations
for this competition.

1. The poem must be authentic and original, The material presented MUST NOT touch on sensitive
issues, such as race, religion, stereotyping , politics, etc.
2. Participants are NOT allowed to refer to any notes or printed materials during the presentation.
3. Participants must start the recitation by mentoning the title and writer of the poem..
4. There should be NO inclusion of singing, music, props and artificial sound effect.
5. Each team is given a presentation time limit of NOT LESS than 4 minites and NOT MORE than 6
minutes. The first bell will ring at the 4th minute and second bell will ring at the 6th minute. Failure to
abide by these times will incur a deduction in marks.
6. The decision of the judges is final.

Now, I do hope that all the contestants are ready.

I would like to invite the first contestants for today’s Poetry Recitation competition. Teachers and
