To Whom It May Concern,

It is my privilege to recommend to you Walker Rouse for admission to your university. I am currently a
Mathematics Teacher at Heritage High School in Wake Forest, NC. I was able to teach Walker during the fall
semester of 2017 in Honors Pre-Calculus. Even though I have only been able to teach him once, I have been
able to see Walker grow and lead through his involvement in Math Honor Society, of which I am the adviser.

Walker has been an invaluable asset to our community here at Heritage High School since his very first
year. During my class, Walker worked efficiently in groups to solve real-world population growth, navigation,
projectile motion, and direct/indirect variation problems. He looked forward to the opportunity to work with his
peers to solve these types of problems, but he successful working independently as well. He worked diligently
to keep his grade high and improve his understanding of the mathematical concepts, even when the subject
matter challenged him.

During his sophomore year, Walker was eligible to apply for Math Honor Society. Through his
excellent grades in his math courses and his glowing recommendations from his teachers, he was selected as a
member. Last year, Walker was such a valued member, often choosing to use his Husky Help time, 30 minutes
set aside during the school day for remediation, to come into my room and help my students who may have been
struggling. Towards the end of his Junior year, Walker chose to run for an officer position, earning enough
votes to be selected as Vice President. So far, this year, Walker has helped to set up math tutoring sessions at
local middle schools, and will lead an enrichment activity for all members in November. I am impressed with
his dedication and leadership and I know that he will bring these attributes to college.

Walker has also been a valuable member of the Heritage Soccer Team since he was a freshman. He has
learned to use his soccer skills and his leadership skills to help his team achieve their goals, leading to several
conference championships. He has learned excellent time management skills, allowing him to not only succeed
on the field, but also in the classroom.

I am exceptionally proud of the young man Walker has become, both inside and outside the classroom.
He is of remarkable character and upholds the highest academic, ethical and personal standards. The
opportunity to pursue an undergraduate degree is an incredible one for Walker and his potential. He would be
an amazing role model to his peers and a wonderful asset to your university.

Walker is a true leader with the highest academic, ethical, and personal standards. He would be an
amazing role model to his peers and a wonderful asset to your university. His desire to challenge himself to
achieve his greatest potential is admirable. He receives my sincerest recommendation.

Best,
