This week I have been accomplishing various tasks pertaining to my internship. I have

been trying to compiled multiple articles and now truly understand the concepts at hand; these

things are very time consuming as they are tedious, so time management is essential.

Recently, I have been trying to commit to my internship every week at least once.

REcently, I have been committing to my site 2 days per week. It is very busy because we are

always preparing for various experiments such as Reverse RNA transcription, Polymerase Chain

REaction, Western Blotting, and cell Culturing. These all take very long as it requires several

different steps to prepare so I have been pipetting a lot of solutions every single day. It’s tedious

but it is interesting.

One thing i have been focusing on over the last few days is definitely managing my time.

It has been a struggle with all this SAT and science olympiad (we won 2nd place), so it is

imperative that I stay organized and on track. My internship has been great as I have been doing

more and being more proactive.

For my gift, I’m thinking about getting her some nice disney movies as her daughter

loves Moana! I’m also considering buying her some chocolates as well as they are a simple gift

that everybody loves. This week, when I went on site, I gave my mentor her gifts. She was very

happy and the whole lab had a lot of fun because there was a christmas party. They offered me

food so I nfeel like I am now accepted but I chose to not accept out of politeness. However, I was

really wishing for some pizza!
