History

Due to the dire need to cater the demand for education of the people, a vacant flat-
hilly site situated at Brgy. Mabini, almost 8 km. away from the city proper becomes the
site institution now known as Mabini National High School.

Formally established last July 7, 1996, Mabini National High School owns its roots to
two key persons: Mr. Numeriano A Talita and Hon. Cesar P. Lumayno.

Before it became an independent institution, it was known as Buenavista National High

School-Mabini Extension. Its humble beginning began with (3) teachers and sixty (60)
students learning in the Barangay Chapel or under the mango tree. Only after the
construction of two (2) classrooms from the CDF (Countryside Development Fund) of
Congressman Jules A. Ledesma, IV, did the classes begin to take its formal shape.

As time went on, by God's grace,Mabini Extension High School began to achieve
awards which lead to procurement of additional materials. Because the presence of the
humble school began to be noticed, additional classrooms such as the ones from The
Chinese Chamber of Commerce were donated through the help of the former city
mayor, Hon. Santiago G. Barcelona, Jr.

The following year, during its 1st anniversary, through the efforts of Congressman Jules
A. Ledesma, IV and virtue of Republic Act 1879, Mabini Extension High School became
officially known as Mabini National High School.

Still, the school continued to strive for success. With this additional rooms were built
which were followed by the construction of the icon of the school, the two-storey, and
te -roomed building known as the Logo Find. It was again constructed with the help of
the Local Government.

It catered to the fast growing number of students. And as the population of the
students grew, the number of teachers also increased with the help of the Provincial and
Local School Board.

Through the collaborative efforts of the school, NGO's, LGU's and other stakeholders, it
continues to grow and now has become the testament of what can be achieved through
unselfishness and dedication.

After more than a decade and a half, from zero (0) classrooms, three (3) teachers, and
sixty (60) students, Mabini National High School now has twenty-eight (28) classrooms,
forty-three (43) teaching personnel, seven (7) non-teaching personnel and more than
one thousand students.

And its story continues.....

First week of our Immersion

In our first week of Jod training in Balsy Ventures Incorporated. I was so excited of
what we are going to do and what I am so post to learn.

Sir Ameg orient about the works rules and regulation, then Sir Ameg done the orient,
they give the task to work it in safety way.

In our training we create a trailer truck (kaha) which is we were going to weld each
edges. One day we have no work in Balsy Ventures because its rainy day and if we
weld it can be dangerous and it can be cause of an electric shock .In the next day the
create trailer truck (kaha) it become done.

There are one truck to repairing the chassis and they weld it.

In a few days we practice the position of welding like flat position, vertical position,
horizontal position, and overhead position.

When we arrived in Balsy Ventures, I was just observing to those who are working on
how they used the acetylene.

Second week of Immersion

In the second week of our Jod training, I was so excited, I asked the one of the
workers of Balsy Ventures to help me on how to used the acetylene. At the first I was
afraidand nervous to used the acetylene, because in my mind there's a question that
makes me feel afraid and nervous what if will explode. Well he explain to me that
acetylene is used for cutting metals. After that I feel confident and relax to cut the
metals and I don't want to stop cutting metals. We cut the plat bar or they called
(mulye) with the acytelen. It is challenging to used it, because if don't know how to
operate it, your skin can be burn.

In the last day we do the pictorial of our Immersion.

Our experiences well be remained in our hearts and mind until we find work or until
the end. And those experiences will help us to overcome what ever problems we are
be facing in our future.
