Elks Support Daycare Expansion Bloom Judges to Return

SUBMITTED

T he Manitoba Communities In Bloom (CIB) judges

will be returning to Minnedosa this summer. Dur-
ing their visit, on July 22nd, they will spend some time
assessing six categories; Tidiness, Environmental Ac-
tion, Heritage Conservation, Urban Forestry, Land-
scaped Ares and Floral Displays.
The local CIB committee hopes that residents will
help us prepare for this visit by tidying yards and pick-
ing up garbage as you find it on streets, boulevards,
ditches and anywhere they may find waste. The lo-
cal CIB committee also hope that residents will use
the proper disposal containers that are placed around
the community and will refrain from tossing personal
waste in the above mentioned areas.
Local residents are invited to join the CIB com-
mittee and judges at Tanner’s Crossing Park for at BBQ
wiener roast at 12 noon on the day of the judges visit.
Beginning on July 15th the local Communities In
Bloom will once again be choosing “Yards of the Week”
starting in the southeast quadrant of town, followed by
the southwest, northeast and lastly northwest. Yards
will be judged by their appearance from the streets.
