Pershing County Alumni Association meeting minutes

Attendees: Joan Duncan, Jerry Atkinson, Jim Rowe, Karen Wesner, and Doreen Munk.

Agenda items

1. Association Webpage/Facebook: Newspaper: Alumni Announcement will be placed in the

Lovelock Review Miner before May 24, 2019.

2. Event: Contact Connie Gottschalk or Becky Jones for bartending.

3. Books: Jerry will have books ready for Alumni. Books will be stored at Espinoza Bookkeeping.

4. Treasure Report: $13,468 in checking, 3,000 in savings, and $10.000 in CD.

5. Alumni Scholarship: Score sheets were calculated and scholarships chosen from applicants.

Mr. Rowe made motioned to increase Trade scholarships to $500. Doreen second. Motion carried.

1 $1, 500-Valdictorian, 1 $1,000-Salutatorian, 4 $750-General, and 2 $500-Trade scholarships were

chosen from applicants.

Mackenzie will present scholarships at Graduation. Names will be posted after Alumni.

Leadership award to be determined.

6. Hall of Fame: Two members were selected for Hall of Fame (To be announced). Plaques will be
made up for 2019 recipients.

7. Gift Cards: Gift cards of appreciation sent to Dana and Patty for compiling information on
graduates and scholarship applications.

8. Board Members: Seek new officers for next year. May be nominated from the floor.

9. Adjournment: Next Meeting: June 7, 2019, at 5:00, to decorate Community Center.
