2. Treasurers Report-Erin Robinson:

3. Principals Report- Ryan Blake:
a. 617 Students currently enrolled; 2

grade has largest class sizes
b. Reviewed State report card for school
c. Discussed benefit of PTA funding/assistance to school. Why needed.
d. Literacy First program discussed
e. YMCA/Sangre afterschool academic program
f. Ticket to Read purchase discussed
g. Monty Harper, singer/songwriter, working with 5
th
grade class
h. Orange and Black Giving Back is a community program with OSU. Cross country team
and others will be coming out to play and interact with Sangre students during recess,
running club, etc.
4. Presidents Report- Amanda Foxx; Andrea Wilson:
a. Master calendar reviewed. May obtain on PTA Facebook page
b. Discussion of what PTA does; what PTA funds help with
c. Volunteer substitute information presented
5. Committee Reports:
a. Membership/Directory:
i. 274 total PTA members; 45% of school population
ii. Printed hardcopy of directory will be presented (hopefully) by the end of
October
b. Donuts with Dad:
i. Doesnt have to be a Dad may be a loved one too. Snacks with Santa in the
winter & Muffins with Mom in the spring.
c. Outdoor Area Committee:
i. Clean up day September 27

d. Running Club:
i. First meeting September 25

ii. Membership forms in office, shirts still available. Running incentive offered this
year.
e. Walk-a-thon:
i. Kick off at assembly on Friday; event held October 3

iii. Packets will be coming home after kick-off. Online donations will be available
f. Reflections:
i. Multi-media art contest
ii. Theme: The World Would Be A Better Place
