 Automatic Plant Watering Machine

Introduction
Now a days, as we know maintenance of a farm field or a
garden is a big head ache. This is a very simple and affordable
plant watering system. This machine is automated it
automatically detects moisture level of the soil with the help of
moisture sensor. Then it supplies the required amount of
water. This is the solution.

Model Description:-

Materials Required
We needed the following things to make this project:

Micro controller board consists of:

1. LCD screen ( 16 x 2 cm )
2. ATMEGA 328 microcontroller
3. Capacitors ( 100uf, 1000uf, 33pf )
4. 7805 ( Voltage regulator )
5. Bridge rectifier
6. Preset/variable register for controlling display brightness
7. Transformer ( 220-240v to 9v )
8. LED ( for power supply indication purpose )
 9. Crystal oscillator 16MHZ
10. Resistors ( 1k, 10komh )
11. Relay board/Relay module
12. Moisture sensor

Construction and Work

In this project the moisture of soil is detected by the moisture sensor and the data is send to
microcontroller board and then relay module receives the signal from microcontroller, then relay
module operates the pump and then it supplies required amount of water. The adequate amount is
decided microcontroller.
