SUBJECT : DESIGNATION AS PERSONNEL-IN-CHARGE DURING THE
ATTENDANCE OF 5TH YEAR STUDENTS
COMMUNITYENGAGEMENT PROJECT AT SAN RAFAEL
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SAN RAFAEL, CASTILLA
SORSOGON
DATE : MARCH 1, 2019

The 5th Year Mechanical Engineering students of Bicol University will be conducting a
Student Community Engagement Project on March 1, 2019 at San Rafael Elementary School
San Rafael, Castilla, Sorsogon.

In view thereof, you are hereby directed to act as personnel-in-charge of the selected 5th
Year BS Mechanical Engineering Students with the following duties and responsibilities before,
during, and after the activity:

1. Supervise/Ensure the safety of the students at all times;


2. Receive the first aid kit (with a complete requirements of its content) from the
University/College Medical Clinic;
3. Notify parents and other stakeholders of the activity;
4. Accompany the students from the time they assemble for the off-campus activity up
to debriefing;
5. Ensure that concerned students are covered in the insurance;
6. Ensure that the travel is coordinated with concerned LGU/NGO/Office/Agency;
7. Ensure the provision of the allowable seating capacity of the vehicle used and check
the students onto service vehicle in each and every departure point;
8. Ensure that there is an approved specific and well-defined set of activities to be
delivered and to be conducted at the community which will include but not limited to
monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of said activities.
9. Ensure that the program of activities is properly followed as planned or activities can
be adjusted as the need arises;
10. Ensure that the Emergency Preparedness Plans given to students are observed; and
11. Ensure compliance to existing rules and regulations on the conduct of off-campus
activity.
