ON-THE-JOB TRAINING PLAN FOR AGRICULTURE


Second Semester, Academic Year 2022-2023

I. INTRODUCTION:

Agriculture includes various combinations of subject matter and learning experiences in agriculture production,
agricultural supplies/services, agricultural mechanics, agricultural products processing, ornamental horticulture, agricultural
(natural) resources skills. Opportunities for employment in agriculture occupations are found at all levels including technical,
managerial, and professional. The purpose of this OJT is to provide an on-the-job training component in conjunction with a
job preparatory program to prepare students for employment in agricultural occupations. The OJT placement is to be directly
related to the field of agriculture. During the internship program, the student interns are assigned to different areas and
venues (community-based) while in the Host Training Establishment (HTE’s), the student interns are given actual work
experience in various departments that may be determined and mutually agreed upon by the school, HTE or the student
intern.

At the end of the internship program, the student should be able:


1. To develop agricultural competencies needed by individuals engaged in or preparing to engage in agriculture occupations.
2. To develop, through exploratory experiences, an understanding of, and an appreciation for, occupations in agriculture.
3. To develop the ability, to secure satisfactory placement and advance in an agriculture occupation through OJT program.
4. To develop the abilities in human relations which are essential to success in agriculture occupations.
5. To develop the abilities needed to exercise and follow effective leadership in fulfilling occupational, social, and civic
responsibilities.
6. To reinforce basic skills in Agri science appropriate for the job preparatory programs through instruction and applied
laboratory procedures or practice

III. REQUIREMENTS OF THE PROGRAM


A. List of documents for the student internship
All interns who will undergo OJT are required to submit the following prior to deployment.
A.1. Medical Certificate to ensure that the intern is physically and mentally fit.
A.2. Proof of Membership to Phil Health or Red Cross Insurance
A.3. Written consent of parent/guardian to undergo teaching internship

B. Orientation and Briefing


After the application period, orientation and pre-internship seminars shall be set. Training expectations, guidelines, rules
and regulations, course requirements shall be discussed. An open forum provides a venue for clarifications on certain
issues. The speakers from the Host Training Establishment (HTE) may be invited to share their insights, expectations
and experiences (through online).

C. Activity
The OJT student will have a 240 hours for ASC project-based at San Gregorio, Luna, Apayao. The OJT students
must perform the following activities/task:
1. Technology exposure to Crop Science Projects
2. Technology exposure to Animal Science Projects
3. Assists in monitoring of Agri-based projects.
4. Encode accomplishment and other related reports.
5. Perform such other functions as may be necessary
