III. Program, Project or Activity Background

IV.
One of the most significant parts of research process is the dissemination of
results or outputs to target clienteles or beneficiaries. Research nowadays can not be
considered completed unless disseminated . This is being done regularly for the
clienteles to fully benefit from the research results. The University Research and
Development Office continues to facilitate the conduct of research dissemination of
researches under the different areas. The authors of researches are invited to serve
as speakers for them to be able to share to the audience the highlights of their
research.

The most important sector of the economy is the agriculture sector as this is
considered the backbone of the economy. Thus, a large chunk of the national budget
goes to this sector for the implementation of development programs and projects.
Research, development and extension play a big role especially for developing
countries such as the Philippines. Research institutions including state universities
and colleges are tasked to generate research outputs which can be translated to
useful technologies to be utilized by the target beneficiaries, especially the farmers,
and fishers.
