ICELAND

- Halló! Góðan daginn! Ég heiti Regina Sensico. (Hello! Good morning! My name is Regina
Sensico.)
- I am here to tell you why you should go to Iceland.
- Culture. Iceland lacks formal marriage so women usually have a child before they marry.
That’s why most are related to each other.
- Socialization. We say that touch is the first type of nonverbal communication we
experience. Most of us experienced it with our own parents, our family. But
infants in Iceland are isolated in carriers and cribs. They are not continuously
help. Children are kept in day care centers at such a young age since both
women and men work for the family.
- Child Rearing and Education. Children are the centers of attention. They are
thought of parenting in school, that’s why teenagers already know about the
approved method of child rearing.
- Education is respected and considered a basic right. They don’t have private
schools and universities are accessible to anyone who can and who can pay for a
low fee.
- Food. Icelanders are famous for the amount of coffee and sugar they consume
everyday. For gatherings, you can see a lot of cakes and pastries.
- Do’s and don’ts.
- Do bring a sleep mask if you do not like sleeping when it's light out. This is what
1AM looks like in Iceland.
- Next, don’t give tips. Especially when you’re at a restaurant. Why? Simply
because they find it weird.
- Last, don't be weirded out that everyone will shower naked around you at the hot
springs. Nudity is not a big deal in Iceland at all!
- Additional reasons why you should go to Iceland.
- Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa in southwestern Iceland. It is
one of Iceland’s top tourist attractions. And yes, the water is clean and does not
contain any chemicals, only natural minerals that have proven to be very good
for people’s skin.
- The Northern Lights. It is a natural light display in the Earth's sky, predominantly
seen in the high-latitude regions. September through March is the peak season
for Northern Lights viewing because the nights are longest.
- In summer, there's midnight sun and the temperature gets a little hotter! The
days get so long that no dark, starry night is observed.
