Data analysis procedure

These are the following statistical instruments that were used in the study:

Mean. The statistical mean refers to the average, where adding all the data

points in a population and then dividing the total by the number of points determine it.

The resulting number is known as the mean or the average and the forma used is x̄ = (

Σ xi ) / n. In this study, it was used to determine the average students who are

motivated in learning oral communication skills.

Standard deviation. It is a statistic that measures the dispersion of a dataset

relative to its mean and is calculated as the square root of the variance, to determine

the variation between each data point relative to the mean (Hargrave, 2019). The

formula of this is S=[(x-(x)^2)]/n. In this study, it is used to measure how the average

students who are motivated in learning oral communication skills distributed.

ANOVA. It is a statistical technique that assesses potential differences in a

scale-level dependent variable by a nominal-level variable having 2 or more

categories (Statistics solutions, 2013). In this study, it used to determine whether there

is a significant difference between motivation and oral communication skills.
