Objectives must be met over a week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and remedial activities. May
I. OBJECTIVES be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to
find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.

A. Content Standards  Sin is a person’s free decision, not to love which consequently causes pain and suffering

B. Performance standard The learners will be able to:


 See evil and suffering in the world through the eyes of faith
 Pray the Confiteor as a confession of sin at the beginning of the mass
 Celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation as an experience of God’s forgiveness

C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives The learners will be able to:


Write the LC code for each  Define sin, original sin, sin of the world and concupiscence
 Find the Religious message hidden in symbolic language in the Story of the fall of man and other sin stories
 Apply the message of the sin stories in daily life and trust in God’s merciful love
 Compose a prayer concerning the sinful situation in our society today
