Fabrication Drawing Rubric

There is a minimum level of completion that is required before any grades will be allotted. At a
minimum, the project must have:

- Vessel side-view and vessel end-view with correct elevations for HLL, NLL, LLL and jigsets
for the level gauge and level controller.
- List of connections, sizes, and ratings.
- Title block information on design pressures, temperatures, corrosion allowance,
insulation thickness, hydrotest pressure, and radiography.
- Vessel nozzle thicknesses and shell thicknesses must match calculated values.

These have been evaluated through Assignments 1 to 5. Any deficiency in the drawing will be
left unmarked and awarded a zero.

The following grades will be assigned for completing the fabrication drawing with the following
tasks:

Mistex detail with welding symbols 15

Vortex Breaker detail with welding symbols 5
Inlet Diverter detail with welding symbols 5
Nameplate on vessel 2
Saddle / Skirt detail with welding symbols 10
Welding notes long & circ seams 2
Welding notes on connections 6
Completed Title Block with weights, volumes, areas, and 5
insulation.
Correct nozzle projections (considering insulation), repads 5
Bill of Material (number, dimensions, and materials). 45
