LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the period, the student will:
VALUE FOCUS a. appreciate the importance of media in our society and how it helps
us in our everyday lives
b. appreciate the values that media promotes
c. be able to pass on to others the good things that they have learned
CONTENT FOCUS a. be able to identify the media and information sources
b. be able to understand the media and information languages
c. understand that values should always be part of our lives and not
just stick into the art of making videos
PERFORMANCE FOCUS a. analyze, evaluate and filter in their minds the information our
media offers
b. organize and classify the different forms of media which can be
used to secure relevant information
c. acquire relevant information and use modern-day tools to get,
manage, apply, evaluate, create and communicate information
1. Ask the students to draw, paint or make an artistic work that will
symbolize the things that they have learned from the short film
2. Let them report and tell the meaning of what they have made and
why did they choose those symbolisms. Allow them to grade their
classmates based on the rubrics on page 235 (poster making)
3. Discuss the Creators of media and information and the characteris-
tics of a good media practitioner
4. Let them answer the questions on pages 12-14
