UNPACKING: Explanation/Discussion/Processing Approx. 110 mins


1. Discuss about the different types of media
2. Show pictures or bring examples of print media (brochures, flyers,
newspapers, etc.) ask them about its particular use and its
advantages
3. Show pictures of the different radio and television sets and equipment
used in film production. Ask them about its particular use and its
advantages.

UPGRADING: Expansion/Practice/Application Approx. 120 mins.


1. Group the students into five members. One or two members will be
an anchor, one will be a director, one will be a scriptwriter and another
will be a videographer. Let the videographer record it while having a
performance in front of their classmates. The presentation/ news
reporting should only be 2-4minute presentation.
2. Ask the students to grade their classmates according to the rubrics
for presentation/ skit on page 240
3. Tell the students to edit and add a background music and improve the
video of their news reporting that was recorded by the videographer.
4. Let the students grade their classmates based on the rubrics for video
PROCEDURE presentation on page 243
UNIFYING: Evaluation/Synthesis/Assignment Approx.60 mins.

1. With the same group, tell the students to create an imaginary


company. Let them make their own history of the company, mission,
vision and core values. Make an organizational chart
2. Let them make a web page based on the information that they have
created. Let them present it in front of the class
3. Let the students grade their classmates based on the rubrics for web
page making
