4.  The odds of the Eagles winning the Super Bowl are 7 : 2 and the odds of 
the Steelers winning the Super Bowl are 15 : 1.  Who has better odds of 
winning the Super Bowl?

Probability of Compound Events
Compound means more than one thing happening as part of the event.

P (A then B) = P (A)      P (B after A)

You roll a number cube and pick a card from a deck of cards.  What is the 
probability of the following compound events occurring?  

1)  P (rolling a 3, then picking a heart)

2)  P (rolling an odd number, then picking a spade)

3)  P (rolling a 2 or a 4, then picking the jack of clubs)

4)  P (rolling not a 5, then picking not a diamond)
