Functional Objectives: ss will be able to give personal information, spell their names
and other important information, show their feelings and moods, and carry out subject
questions: Who is …?, Ask questions simple questions for past activities: verb to be, ask
questions and state opinions of continuous actions, mention the position of things, ss are
able to show possession, ss are able to speak about present, past and future activities; ss
are able to speak about quantities; ss are able to speak about routines showing
frequency.
Linguistic Objectives: Verb to be in present and past, subject questions, the alphabet,
Present Continuous, the alphabet, WH questions, demonstrative adjectives, use of
adjectives, yes no questions with the verb to be, WHOSE, possessive adjectives,
possessive pronouns, possessive S’, simple present and simple past, modal auxiliaries;
quantifiers: How much, How Many; Adverbs of Frequency
Material and Aids: CDs, Flip-Chart, Tape Recorder, Posters, Pointer, Markers
(Permanent and water markers), Photocopies of extra material
Warm Up: (Flip-chart) Using the above question develop the following questions with
ss (explaining, making mimics as much as possible and giving example)

Demonstrative Adjective
The demonstrative adjectives are this, that, these, and those. A
demonstrative adjective is used to modify a noun to point out or demonstrate a
specific item(s).
