Ask ss for their names and information, write the following
question on the board: What’s your name? and collect ss’ names.
Warm Up: (Flip-chart) Using the above question develop the following questions with
ss (explaining, making mimics as much as possible and giving example)

Practice 1 (Speaking and Grammar: Verb to be + demonstrative Adjectives) Go

over the book and develop questions 1 to 12 (Do not work on question 3)

Demonstrative Adjective
The demonstrative adjectives are this, that, these, and those. A
demonstrative adjective is used to modify a noun to point out or demonstrate a
specific item(s).
This and that modify singular nouns;

whereas, these and those modify plural nouns.
After every 25 questions have ss listen to the CD write the question and provide a possible answer; then, have ss
listen to the same answers and write the possible questions (This to have feed back on the advancement) + Alive
situation (Guided, Pre-guided, Not-guided)

Positive and Negative Sentence with the verb "to be"
Frequency Adverbs are used in positive sentences and negative

sentences. The frequency adverb is placed before the main verb if
the main verb is the Verb "to be".
 The teacher is always on time.

 The sofa is always fun to sit on.
Questions without the verb "to be" as the main verb
When questions use the verb "to be" as the main verb the
frequency adverb is placed after the subject.

Questions with the verb "to be" as the main verb. In question
when the main verb is the verb "to be" the frequency adverb is
placed after the subject.
