A wedge shaped reservoir with angle of contact 140o is suspected

of having a fairly strong natural water drive. Initially the reservoir 60
was at bubble point pressure but apparently there was no initial
gas cap (m=O). The values of cumulative oil production (Np ),
cumulative GOR (Rp ) and the average reservoir pressure (p), as 50
f(x) = 8.282E-12x^5 - 1.3
functions of time, are shown table, for the first 10 years of
production. It may be assumed that the pressure decline at the oil 40
water contact is the same as the average pressure decline in the
reservoir.
30
It was initially suspected, based on seismic and geological evidence
that thevalue of rD =re/ra was about 10. Do you consider this to be 20
the correct value of rD based on 10 years of production history,
and if not, what is your estimate of thecorrect value of this ratio?
