Cost benefits – Xypex & Zeomighty vs other viable options

Xypex Admix – Concrete waterproofing and durability enhancement with rapid self-healing ability.

Approx. $75/m3 for commercial use (0.8-1% of cement content) or ≈ 3kg/m3

Doubles design life to CCC threshold at steel rebar (initiation of corrosion) when combined with an
SCM such as MS600 or Slag blended cement.
Equates to approx. $11.25/m2 for a 150mm thick concrete element

Approx. $100/m3 for industrial use (1.2% of cement content) or ≈ 4.2kg/m3

Raumati Bridge – Xypex Admix combined with MS600 cost approx. $28K vs the $2.7M total

How soon would $18K be used up on repairs/coatings instead, @ 10-20yrs on?
This option meets/exceeds 100 year design life expectations

Tepid Baths – Xypex Admix combined with MS600 to concourse and pool concrete
Combined cost of both products = 0.7 x the cost of the steel rebar.
In USA, alternatives such as stainless steel rebar = 5 x cost of the steel.
Epoxy coatings and galvanised rebar = 2-4 x the cost of the steel.
On that basis Xypex addition is very economical.
(ie: Xypex actual cost = 0.55 x cost of Steel).

Zeomighty - Anti-microbial concrete/mortar specifically for sewage environments.

Prevents microbial conversion of H2S gas to H2SO4 acid.

Added to new concrete @ 1% of the cement content or mixed with repair mortars remedially.
Typically increases serviceable life of concrete x 7!!!!!
ie: Normal concrete with 40mm cover in aggressive environs may last 42 years.
Add Zeomighty and lasts approx. 298 years till rebar exposed. (7 x longer life!!).

Typical 350 kg/m3 cement content = 3.5 kg/m3 Zeomighty (@ 1%)

Zeomighty at $65-75/kg (due to Ag/Cu content) equates to an average $245/m3
or $36.75/m2. (1/2 the cost of the alternative below!!!).
Alternative = Epoxy coatings @ $60-$70/m2 excluding preparation!!!

All the above prices exclude GST and freight components.
