POBLACION, BUNAWAN, AGUSAN DEL SUR: BASIS FOR
DEVELOPMENT OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS”. An
Undergraduate Thesis, College of Teacher Education, Agusan del
Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology, Bunawan,
Agusan del Sur.Pp. 45.

This study was conducted to identify and classify the species of

Freshwater Snail found in Streams in selected area of Barangay

Poblacion, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur; assess the conservation status

of each Freshwater snail species; determine the diversity indices of

Freshwater Snail, and provide instructional material for future use.

The study revealed five (5) species of Freshwater Snail found in

Streams in selected area of Barangay Poblacion, Poblacion, Bunawan,

Agusan del Sur. The species belong to three (3) families namely:

Ampullaridae (Pomacea maculata, Pomacea canaliculata, Pomacea

haustrum) Semisulcospiridae (Semisulcospira libertina) Bithyniidae

(Bithynia tentaculata). Shannon index was highest in station 2 (1.458),

followed by station 3 (1.392) and station 1 (1.322).
