Pasukan Khusus SMAN 1 Gresik (Passus SMANSA) won third place in the PBB competition held at Widya Mandala
Catholic University.

Gresik become a participant in the GLPMI VIII
(Gemuruh Langkah Paskibra Muda Indonesia
VIII) competition on Sunday 9 April 2018. GPLMI
VIII is a competition held every year for high
school and vocational high schools in East Java by
the Widya Mandala Catholic University. The
competition includes many categories such as
category of PBB, formation, yells, and flag raising.
Every team that become a participant this
competition consists of 12 troops, 1 danton, 1
reserve, 1 official. The prize in this competition is
fifteen million rupiah, certificates, and 14
trophies.

In this competition, SMAN 1 Gresik have

been 3 times consecutively won into the big
three. Precisely in 2016 and 2018 got 1st place,
2017 got 3rd place + best yells. Before join in this
competition, passus smansagres has prepared
more than 1 month. "We have prepared for this
competition more than a month, the preparation
includes physical training, mental training and of
course PBB. We usually practice every Tuesday,
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Every morning
and afternoon" said Moh. Rounaqul Lubab. S
