teamwork and determination in achieving our goals to provide excellent academic service to the
learners of Maigo. After all, students’ learning and good school management are the top priorities for
our school,” Principal Larin added.

School Principal Larin said that she hopes to continue pressing forward with the tasks at hand as

one goal- to provide excellent quality education that the learners need.

The Pasidunog sa Amihang Mindanao is a Regional award-giving body that recognizes the

making promoting good health habits and eating healthy foods. The contest started on August 27, 2020
and was open to all public and private junior and senior high schools in Region 10 and the awarding for
the video-making contest was given last December 5, 2020 via virtual awarding ceremony.

MAPEH Teacher, Sir Dan Michael Lagat explained that the short film portrayed how
moms should take care of their health while they are pregnant so that the child will become a
health person in the future.

“The short film was about how a mother, played by Ms. Josephine Armada, a Senior High
School Student of Maigo National High School, was able to make her daughter healthy while
being pregnant with her child, when the child was born (played by Baby Libby Labastilla, Ms
Wendy Labastilla’s baby) up until she became a teenager (played by Ms. Rilley Zaide) until she
became a teacher (played by Ms. Trisha Reyes),” explained Mr. Lagat.

Ms. Ariannie E. Lagat said that she is proud of her students while on the film shooting
because she “had no trouble with how they delivered their lines” and how they (students) were
able to internalize the storyline as if they were not playing any role and were natural actors.
The recognition for the winners of the said contest was given by the award-giving bodies:
the Department of Education, Division of Lanao del Norte, in cooperation with the Department of
