Cluster 6 Project CARE inks MOA for community extension program

Living by its mantra “Service and Excellence”, Cluster 6 Project CARE (Commitment,
Accountability, Responsibility, Excellence) signed a memorandum of agreement with Marilog
High School of Agriculture in the former’s aim to aid and to preserve Mother Earth through tree
planting activities and community clean-up drive.

The MOA was signed by Mirasol O. Fabuna, Principal I of Marilog High School of Agriculture,
Lito M. Mansamo, Punong Barangay, Matulik Ernisto D. Salumay, Tribal Chieftain, Lydia V.
Ampo, PhD, Cluster 8 PSDS, Johnito O. Galan, EdD, Cluster 6 PSDS, and approved by
Reynaldo M. Guillena, CESO V, Schools Division Superintended represented by Jonas P.
Piore, Division Coordinator ASP.

“Cluster 6 does not only promote quality, accessible, and inclusive education in reaching all
types of learners, it also extends quick response to those in dire need in times of crisis and
calamities. Moreover, this project facilitates social programs and outreach activities to the public
especially the less-fortunate individuals, grounded in the DepEd Core Values: Maka-Diyos,
Makatao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa,” said Dr. Galan in an interview.

Under the agreement, teachers of Cluster 6 will conduct a tree planting activity, feeding and
provide health kits and learning kits to IP students of the said school with the help of internal
and external stakeholders.

“With all these planned activities, I felt a sense of fulfillment knowing that I am one of the
instruments of the Lord to lend a helping hand. With our limited resources, we will rekindle hope
and inspiration amidst obstacles they are experiencing along their way,” Mr. Daniel O. Sevillano,
the Project Chair expressed.

The school beneficiary has allocated a one-hectare land area to Cluster 6 Project CARE near
the boundary line of the school but within three meters radius wide, with Barangay Salumay
Council’s commitment to ensure the safety and security of the teachers in their activities.

“We are deeply honored and gratified to be chosen as your beneficiary of this project. The
school, learners as well as the parents, and the whole community are happy and thankful that
we have partners in taking care of our environment and we have comrades that are ready to
extend help in promoting quality education and well-being,” the school head Mrs. Fabuna
shared.

The team assured to adhere to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) minimum health and public
standards in implementing all activities.
