PROVISION OF LACTATING ROOM / CORNER IN THE SCHOOL

Pugo elementary school has limited classrooms and rooms for other
purposes like clinic ,guidance and GAD room were set into just one room .The supposed
to be GAD corner which was planned to be a Lactating room was set in a corner of the
room and should be arrange to have a foldable divider to cover the place however due to
limited area this part was place outside the room, we just put it beside the wash area of
our school , which we thought it is just a good place for nursing parents because it is
more accessible and comfortable for them because they don’t need to enter the room.

CHILDREN’S MONTH CELEBRATION

NATIONAL CHILDREN’S MONTH CELEBRATION 2022

PUGO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN’S MONTH CELEBRATION

Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippines’ national hero, once said that the youth is the future of the nation, and
investing in children is a key for the betterment of the next generation. Appreciating their existence and
vital role in the society is highly regarded as shown in a celebration specially for them. This year‘s theme
for International children’s day is, “Inclusion, for every child”. This theme means that every child belonging
to any society, community or nationality is entitled to equal rights. It also emphasizes on the eradication of
discrimination among children of various civilizations. Not only the general rights, but a global society
welcomes and offers space to children of all types of skin tones.
National Children’s Month is celebrated in November in the Philippines every year. This month-
long celebration aims to give Filipino children access to a healthy environment, good education, and
healthcare. This holiday also comes from a place of empathy. As a third-world country, most families
struggle financially, and it’s the children who suffer the most. This month highlights the ways we can help
and support them.
Pugo Elementary School celebrated Children’s Day last Nov. 18, 2022.There were several
activities that were undertaken during this celebration , like the following, Awarding of certificate of
Appreciation to learners with Best in Fancy Costume, Sing and Dance Contest and Games. The highlight of
the said activity was the Gift Giving to the less fortunate learners of our school, we have chosen 70 learners
that were given school supplies and health kits (menstrual pad for girls). The advisers have chosen 8 less
fortunate learners of their class to receive the simple gift. Before the gift giving ,the school GAD focal
person Mrs. Gina Nonan discuss to the learners about gender equality while Mrs. Adora Abero discuss on
personal hygiene .The learners were very happy and they were thankful for the simple kind of appreciation
for them.
