2 Rationale of SLRP

The reintroduction of face-to-face classes comes with the expectation that schools will

ensure that all learners are catered with opportunities to participate meaningfully in the varied

learning spaces made accessible to them in a context that evolves around equity and inclusive

approach. Looking at the situation of schools, there is a need to provide adequate information

and responsive solution to achieve that.

The Department of Education launched the crafting of Learning Recovery Plan (LRP)

which is a two-year comprehensive approach of ensuring that all learners under the face-to-

face and distance learning modalities combined are engaged in a meaningful learning

experience is essential to address the loss, gaps and gains. These gaps and gains underscore

the learning experience during the COVID-19 pandemic school years relating to physical,

psycho-social and emotional factors affecting learning outcomes as inputs to the Learning

Recovery Plan. It includes unlearned competencies, unresolved challenges, lessons learned

and best practices that helped schools survive the pandemic years.

Pursuant to Division Memorandum no. 321 s. 2022, the Office of Schools Division of

Superintendent held an orientation on preparation of District Learning Recovery Plan (LRP)

which aims to orient participants on the proper processes in the preparation of district and

school learning recovery plans to be implemented starting SY 2022-2023 until SY 2024-

2025.

In accordance with it, Punang National High School designed this School Learning

Recovery plan (SLRP) with contextualize various learning delivery options, for efficient and

effective delivery of positive learning outcomes.
