Communication Plan
for Limited Face-to-Face
Background
Philippines is experiencing COVID-19 pandemic wherein the

Department of Education (DepEd) is affected and practicing the new normal
of learning. On the other hand, the Department of Education and
Department of Health assure safe run of limited face-to-face classes, in line
with this, the pilot implementation of limited face-to-face classes in select
low-risk areas in the country, the Department of Education (DepEd) and the
Department of Health (DOH) have identified mechanisms to ensure safety of
participating learners, teaching and non-teaching staff, and their families.
The partnership of the schools and external stakeholders is key in

deployment of the critical information of the expansion of limited face to
dace and the success of limited face to face classroom.
Objectives
This communication plan is design to:
1. Guide key communicators from the pilot face-to-face sessions through

the process of formulating and designing messages and interventions
to be delivered to concerned stakeholders in person;
2. Ensure that documentation and media management policies are in
place for the pilot run of limited face-to-face classes; and
3. For the duration of the implementation of the limited face-to-face
classes, the school should create a field coordination and crisis
management plan for various eventualities.

2. The most heavily trafficked areas need to have posters and other
outdoor items displayed (school gates, hallways, restrooms, etc.)
3. Distribute printed materials (brochures, flyers) to all participating
stakeholders.
