MINUTES OF GENERAL PTA Meeting held at Kindergarten classroom,

Tagdo Elementary School on October 6, 2022 at 2:30 P.M.

I. Preliminaries
The meeting started at 2:30 in the afternoon, presided by Mr. Dennis B.
Resma,Head Teacher III, It was started by a prayer by Mrs. Julie B. Llanasa.
Mr. Dennis B. Resma gave his welcome address to the body. He expressed his
heartfelt gratitude to all the attendees of the said meeting. After the opening
remarks, was the checking of attendance by grade level by Mrs. Maria Divina
Guibone, grade-I A adviser.

III. Business Arising from Agenda

1. Election of GPTA Officers for SY 2022-2023- Conducted new set of GPTA
Officers for the SY 2022-2023. Mr. Resma served as election committee and
facilitated the entire election process. Parents nominated from among
themselves and voted for a new set of officers that would serve as partner in
extending services to our learners. Below are the elected General PTA
Officers for SY 2022-2023:

President: Aldrin D. Lagang

Vice-President: Romeo A. Tibas
Secretary: Joy Celeste L. Sanchez
Treasurer: Juvy L. Dalwag
Auditor: Sheila Mae A. Torillo
P.R.O’s: Juvy M. Alba

Social Managers: Manilyn P. Babia

2. School Policies – Mr. Resma announced the implementation of school policies

especially the students’ tardiness and absences because it will be monitored so
 that in case the parents want to know the status of their children, there is a
record to serve as basis. So, avoid constant absences due to poor reading
ability. Uniform is not strictly required.
3. Health protocols- always maintain and follow the safety health protocols such
as wearing of face masks, social distancing, washing of hands or using alcohol
to avoid COVID-!9.
4. Learners’ Vaccination- parents are encouraged to let their children have
COVID-vaccination.
5. Learners’ Performance (Reading & Quarterly Exam)- Mr. Resma reiterated
that each learner should manifest master in literacy skills so that he can be
moved to the next grade level. Parents and teacher should be in tandem to
improve the learner’s performance especially in reading. “NO READ, NO
PASS POLICY” follow-up reading at home is also necessary.
6. D.O. 34 s., 2022 (School Calendar Activities) –Mr. Resma reiterated the
monthly school calendar activities for SY 2022-2023. The secretary of
Education Hon. Sarah Duterte emphasized that extra curricular activities
should be minimize to lessen class distraction.
7. Brigada Eskwela- last year few parents were participated of the said activity.
He asked all the parents to have their full support and cooperation by the next
school year.
Nevertheless, he gave the floor to the new elected GPTA President to give a
message to the body.

IV. Open Forum

The presiding officer asked the body if they have some questions, opinions or
suggestions regarding the meeting. Mrs. Jamito raised her hand and asked
regarding the food/snacks to be selling in the canteen. And it was answered. And
since there were no other questions arises it was moved to close by Mrs. Babia
and seconded by Mrs. Llanasa.
Mr. Resma who was the presiding officer gave thanks to all the parents who
attended the said meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 pm in the afternoon.
