Starbucks employee's 'mistake' on customer's coffee cup

goes by his Muslim name, Abdul
Aziz, was getting himself and
some friends drinks at
Starbucks.
When ordering the drinks, Mr
Johnson gave his Muslim name –
Aziz.
Mr Johnson didn't realise until
much later, after leaving the
store, the barista had written
“ISIS”, instead of “Aziz” on all
three of the cups – an acronym
for the Islamic State terrorist
group.
"I was shocked at first, and then
angry because I felt as though we
were discriminated against," Mr
Johnson told NBC News.
In a statement to NBC News,
Starbucks said there had been
an investigation of the incident,
when concluded the barista
“mistakenly spelled it
incorrectly”.
The Starbucks spokesperson
also said Mr Johnson had been
approached after the “regrettable

claiming to be Mr Johnson's
niece and gave details of the
experience.

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 eggs
1 cup panko bread crumbs,
or more as needed
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour,
or more if needed
1 cup olive oil for frying
½ cup prepared tomato sauce
¼ cup fresh mozzarella,
cut into small cubes
¼ cup chopped fresh basil
½ cup grated provolone cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
Spaghetti (add)
Preheat an oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
Place chicken breasts between two sheets of heavy plastic (resealable freezer bags work
well) on a solid, level surface. Firmly pound chicken with the smooth side of a meat mallet
to a thickness of 1/2-inch. Season chicken thoroughly with salt and pepper.
Beat eggs in a shallow bowl and set aside.
Mix bread crumbs and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese in a separate bowl, set aside.
Place flour in a sifter or strainer; sprinkle over chicken breasts, evenly coating both sides.
Dip flour coated chicken breast in beaten eggs. Transfer breast to breadcrumb mixture,
pressing the crumbs into both sides. Repeat for each breast. Set aside breaded chicken
breasts for about 15 minutes.
Heat 1 cup olive oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat until it begins to shimmer. Cook
chicken until golden, about 2 minutes on each side. The chicken will finish cooking in the
oven.
Place chicken in a baking dish and top each breast with about 1/3 cup of tomato sauce.
Layer each chicken breast with equal amounts of mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, and
provolone cheese. Sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese on top and drizzle
with 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is browned and bubbly, and chicken breasts are
no longer pink in the center, 15 to 20 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into
the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
Cook's Note:
Use high-quality prepared tomato sauce for a better end result. You may substitute pesto
or dried Italian herbs of your choice for basil, or omit entirely. If using fresh mozzarella, cut
it into cubes instead of shredding it.

Rubber Gloves
A dentist was getting ready to clean an
elderly lady's teeth. He noticed that she was
a little nervous, so he began to tell her a story
as he was putting on his surgical glove -
"Do you know how they make these rubber
gloves?" She said, "No?" "Well," he spoofed,
"down in Mexico they have this big building
set up with a large tank of latex, and the
workers are all picked according to hand size.
Each individual walks up to the tank, dips
their hands in, and then walk around for a bit
while the latex sets up and dries right onto
their hands! Then they peel off the gloves and
throw them into the big 'Finished Goods
Crate' and start the process all over again."
Upon hearing this explanation the woman sat
stoic, not laughing the slightest bit.
A few minutes later, during the procedure,
he had to stop cleaning her teeth because
she burst out laughing. The dentist was
baffled, and asked her what was so funny.
The woman blushed and exclaimed, "I just
suddenly thought about how they must make

Teen's warning after contraceptive pill almost kills her
A teenager who
claims she almost
died from taking the
contraceptive pill
after it allegedly
caused multiple
blood clots to form
in her brain is
sharing her story to
warn others.
Lexie Nash, 16, was sent
home from school with a
severe headache and neck
pain in December 2017 just four
weeks after being prescribed a
new brand of contraceptive pill –
but 24 hours later, she was
violently vomiting and had double
vision.
Doctors first thought it was
meningitis, but a CT scan
discovered the cause was actually
C e r e b r a l Ve n o u s S i n u s
Thrombosis – where blood clots
form in the sinuses which drain
blood from the brain.
Her parents, Caroline, 38 and
Paul, 47, were told to prepare
themselves for the worst as
medics battled to stabilise the
teenager's blood pressure and
heart rate but after four weeks in
hospital she miraculously
recovered and was allowed home
– although is still suffering with
fatigue, dizziness, headaches and
slurred speech.
Lexie, from Churchdown, in
England, had been taking the
contraceptive pill for nine months
to control her heavy periods but
had recently been prescribed a
new brand called Marvelon, with
her doctors allegedly linking this
pill to the clots.
“I was advised to take the pill to
control my periods, but I never in a
million years thought I could end
up in hospital,” Lexie said.
“I am an active person and never
had any health complications
before and was not made aware of
any risks of the pill when it was
prescribed until I fell ill with a

critical condition.
"When it all started, it felt like my
head was going to explode so my
mum picked me up from school
and as the pain continued, she
took me to out of hours.
“I had never had a migraine
before, so I assumed, they were
right when they sent us home, but
the pain was getting worse.”
Lexie was unable to communicate
for four days after being diagnosed
with the blood clots and and
medics reduced the clots using a
blood thinner infusion.
The teen couldn't attend school for
four months.
As her intracranial pressure – a
build-up of pressure around the
brain – was five times higher than
the average person's, she
also needed two lumbar
punctures.
But tests in January 2019
showed the intracranial
pressure in her skull was still
too high, meaning she must
take medication to prevent
migraines.
A spokesman for Marvelon
manufacturer MSD (Merck,
Sharp & Dohme) Limited
said the combined oral
contraceptive pill was
licensed as a contraceptive
only.
“Its safety and efficacy was
established in clinical trials
in women aged 18 years
and over,” the spokesman
said.
"As with all medications,

Where we live will change too, the
report predicts, with the
introduction of inverted
skyscrapers called 'earthscrapers'
and homes that can clean
themselves.
People will holiday in luxury space
hotels orbiting the moon or other
planets.
There will also be huge changes in
health, including the large-scale
3D printing of vital organs to help
people who need them.
The predictions people want to
see become reality
"The next 50 years will bring the
largest technological changes and
innovations we have ever seen in
our work and leisure,” said Ms de
Rojas, who co-authored the
report.
"The Digital Revolution, just as the
Industrial Revolution did 250 years
ago, is challenging all our
assumptions about how we shall
lead our future lives."
The report also asked Brits
which of the predictions
they would most like to see
become a reality.
Self-cleaning homes
topped the list, with 63 per
cent saying it would be their
top choice, followed by
implants to monitor health
stats and flying taxis and
buses.
