SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM REPORT 2019

In order to intensify health and nutrition among grade school children, the Rosario
Technical High School as spearheaded in running targeted supplementary feeding program for
wasted and severely wasted student of this school. The project aims reduction of acute
malnutrition among grade school student and encouraged learners to go to school every day.
Ms. Elaine Reyes, school nutrition coordinator, and all MAPEH teachers and advisers of
the school, threshed-out those who were severely wasted and wasted students from Grade 7 to
Grade 10 levels. There are seven (7) recipients of the program. The school provides heavy meal
with malunggay that will help the selected students from different levels to gain the weight
intended for them. The 75% of this program was from our own “Gulayan sa Paaralan”. The budget
is P30 per child per meal. The meals are prepared by the Canteen manager Mrs. Arlene B. Ciervo
together with Mr. Julius C. Perlas - School Feeding Coordinator, following low-cost and balanced
menus compiled. In addition, a yakult, fresh juice or Mineral water was provided for each student
every day.
During feeding, health care practices such as hand washing and tooth brushing are also
promoted.
At the end of each month of supplementary feeding program, we evaluate the BMI of the
recipients to monitor the nutritional status of each students. To continuously lessen the number
of severely wasted students we regularly feed and continue the feeding program.

July 18-19, 2019

To continue the project which was launched on July 18, 2019, aims at reduction of
acute malnutrition among grade school student. The school provides heavy meal for severely
wasted students from Grade 7 to Grade 10 levels. The meals prepared for the severely wasted
students are prepared Chicken tinola with malunngay, Bulanglang na kalabasa with malunggay,
Fried egg, Rice and Fresh buko juice. The meals are prepared by the Canteen manager Mrs. Arlene
B. Ciervo together with the feeding Coordinator Mr. Julius C. Perlas, following low-cost and
balanced menus compiled

July 22-26, 2019
As the feeding program continues, the beneficiaries aiming to gain weight through eating
meals prepared by the feeding coordinator and canteen manager. The meals are Rice, Chicken
tinola with malunggay, homemade longganisa, balatong with malunggay and a fresh buko juice
for the drinks of the students. The meals prepared followed low cost budget.

promoted.
