B.1: Target Strength for Mix Proportioning

From table 1 of IS 10262 : 2013, standard deviation, S 3.5

B.2: Selection of Water cement Ratio

Maximum Water-cement ratio adopted = 0.6 Table 5 of IS 456

B.3: Selection of Water Content

Maximum water content From Table 2 of IS 10262 : 2013 = 165 kg (for 25 to 50mm Slump range)
The required water content may be established by trail or an
increase by about 3 % for every additional 25 mm slump as per = 170 kg
