DKSH is a leading provider of market expansion services in Asia with a focus on consumer goods
including fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), hair and skin cosmetics, gourmet fine foods and luxury
and lifestyle. The business unit’s comprehensive market expansion services extend from product
feasibility studies and registration to importation, marketing and merchandising, sales, warehousing,
customs clearance, physical distribution, invoicing, after-sales services, cash collection and other value
added services. From its 85 distribution centers in Asia, DKSH provide FMCG companies with direct
access to retail channels and into healthcare outlets. DKSH is also the sole franchisee and distributor of
Levi’s products in Cambodia and Thailand. Its more than 14,770 consumer goods specialists are based in
17 Asia Pacific markets including Australia, China, Cambodia, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Laos, Macau,
Malaysia, Myanmar, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Saipan, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. In
the fiscal year ended December 2015 (FY2015), the Consumer Goods business unit reported revenue of
CHF3,925.6 million, which accounted for 39% of the company’s total revenue.
Under Healthcare business unit, DKSH provides market expansion services to pharmaceutical, medical
device, over-the-counter (OTC) and consumer health companies seeking to grow their business in Asia. It
provides an array of integrated and customized solutions, including registration, marketing and sales,
market entry studies, physical distribution, redressing and invoicing and cash collection. The company
has strong local healthcare presence in 12 Asian markets including China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Laos,
Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. DKSH specializes
in business integration and supports clients at every stage of the product life cycle, from pre-launch
regulatory support and product launches to full services for mature and non-core brands. In FY2015, the
Healthcare business unit reported revenue of CHF4,970.6 million, which accounted for 49.5% of the
company’s total revenue.
Under Performance Materials division, the company provides all vital services from global sourcing,
promoting and sales to distribution and after-sales services. DKSH is a leading specialty chemicals and
food ingredients distributor. It is also a worldwide provider of market expansion services for business
partners in the food and beverage, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. The
division provides total supply chain management, including regulatory services. It provides tailored
services such as sourcing, research and analysis, marketing and sales, distribution and logistics and
after-sales services that create new opportunities for clients and customers. DKSH also provides a wide
range of specialized services including regulatory services and key client management. In FY2015, the
Performance Materials business unit reported revenue of CHF782.5 million, which accounted for 7.8% of
the company’s total revenue.
