Dear Kimberly School District,

My Name is Steffany Nicole Leavitt and I recently came across the open teaching position in your
Elementary school. I am very interested in the job and feel as though I am a great candidate for it. I
am working towards finishing my elementary education degree. I will have completed my associate
degree in the fall of 2019, and I am transferring to ISU come spring 2020 to complete my bachelor’s
degree continuing in elementary education. Although I am still working on my certification, I feel like
I am a good choice for the position because I am student focused and can get the job done while
finishing up my own schooling.

I am very driven and capable to take on this venture. With this position I can not only expand my
own knowledge and experience but expand the love for learning to my students as well. I can bring
patience, understanding, and unity to the classroom and coworkers that I am involved with. I have
enough empathy to listen and keep my students motivated. I want to help improve the lives of
young minds, and with this position I can fulfill that.

I’ve had many years working with the public, I can bring my experience to the classroom to make
sure everyone is heard, treated fairly, and gets a strong education out of the year. I have
experience with technology that would help me in the classroom to keep my students involved and
engaged. I am willing to learn and improve my skills and I go also. I am a well-rounded team player,
who knows the goals of my students and I will work hard with them and others to achieve their
success.

I am more than excited to jump into an opportunity such as this. I have worked and will continue to
work to be the top choice for this position. I will stay motivated and humble throughout this journey. I
will be communicative to students, parents, and co workers as we all strive for the same goals. I
