A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR

LUCILO R. BAYRON TO INCLUDE IN HIS PRIORITY PROJECTS

FOR YEAR 2020 THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ONE STOP SHOP FOR
SOUVENIR AND PASALUBONG CENTER

WHEREAS, the Pearl and Souvenir Shops Association of Puerto

Princesa and Palawan (PASSAPP) wrote a letter to the Sangguniang
Panlungsod, requesting the City Government to build a “One Stop
Shop” and exhibit areas for pearls, souvenirs, and pasalubong in the
City;
WHEREAS, this proposed One Stop Shop will consist of food and
non-food stalls, parking area, and fabrication laboratory wherein
tourists can observe how souvenirs are made;
WHEREAS, it will help the livelihood of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprise (MSME) who cannot afford the rentals in malls and other
commercial buildings in the City;
WHEREAS, the PASSAPP has a proposed sketch or plan of this One
Stop Shop and they specifically suggested the Balayong Park and
Eulalia Park as one of their preferred areas for this plan, subject to
the approval of the City Mayor;
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City Government will support the
endeavor of its constituents towards the growth and development of
the City;
BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to pass a Resolution
requesting the Honorable City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron to include in
his Priority Projects for Year 2020 the establishment of One Stop
Shop for Souvenir and Pasalubong Center;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished
to the City Mayor’s Office, Local Economic and Investment
Promotions Office, City Tourism Office, and City Information Office
for their information.
