A Detailed Lesson Plan in Mathematics II

I. Objective: At the end of a 50-minute lesson, 80% of students are expected to:
 Identify things that are heavy and light.
 Use the appropriate unit of mass to measure a particular object with the use of
weighing scale.
 Appreciate the importance of a weighing scale.
II. Subject Matter:
Topic: Using the Standard Unit Kilogram (Kg)
Reference: Mathematics 2 Kagamitan ng mag-aaral Kapamapangan (pp. 231-233)
Materials: real objects, weighing scale, power-point presentation, projector, laptop, pictures
Value: Teamwork and cooperation

When we say weight, what does it measures?

When we say weight it is a measure of mass. It shows Yes teacher

I.Application
(Teacher will give printed weighing scales)

Using those printed weighing scales, you are going to fix


its pointer according to weight of the objects shown in
the following pictures.
