The internet enables access to obtaining various information and acts as a medium of

communication, because of this the internet plays an essential role in the education of students.
Search engines, like Google and Yahoo, have been provided by the Internet in order to have
access to a variety of resources in an instant, and through this the Internet enables the students to
research more and to relearn content they had in school (cdadmin, 2019) and these information
can be quickly sent through electronic mail (e-mail) and will be immediately received and used
by the receiver (Ndukwe, 2019). Instant communication and information sharing increased
because of advancing connections, examples of these are the forums and social media sites
where one can share ideas with other users and ask questions/opinions in order to broaden one’s
researches (Communication, 2019). With these tools, the internet is able to provide resources for
the students.
Additionally, last September 10, 2019, the researcher conducted a survey on the forty-six
(46) out of fifty-one (51) students present on that day of the first section of the eleventh grade of
HUMSS from the Senior High School Department of the University of Perpetual Help System
DALTA Las Pinas Campus. It can be said that with one hundred percent of the respondents
having any personal gadget such as laptops, computers, or tablets. One hundred percent of the
respondents have access to the internet. Lastly, one hundred percent of the respondents use the
internet for either social media, research assignments, and for entertainment. In addition, it has
been observed through this, the internet is an important tool of students throughout there period
of education.
