I. INTRODUCTION

This work has been the subject of Investigation intended to describe the use of social
networks and school backwardness; for which we have seen fit to develop the following
objectives: indicate what technological elements obsessively people prefer to identify the
consequences of the misuse of social networks.
We must point out that we are not the only ones who have worked on this research for which
it is necessary to indicate the following research backgrounds:

In the work OSORIO (2014) social networks on the Internet and consequences of its use in
university students, the use of social networks has led to jealousy, misunderstandings and
emotional problems. However, a large number of subjects think that their relationships have
improved with the use of social networks. Another important issue is that the subjects have
recognized frustration at not being able to connect to the Internet or not being able to chat
with their friends, which suggests that these subjects may present symptoms related to
Internet addiction.

In addition, the LARA (2013) use and abuse of technology in adolescents and its relationship
with some variables of personality, parenting styles, alcohol and self - perception
as a student, work and his study showed that l speed with which we are subjected to
Technological advances make any achievement in this field obsolete within two or three
years and be widely overcome by new instruments. It is necessary that the society in general,
but in a more direct way the family and the school, become aware of this phenomenon,
assuming the responsibilities that concern them and providing the younger people with the
necessary training and mechanisms so that these make correct and adequate use of
technologies to benefit from the many positive aspects involved and to avoid and minimize
their risks

Finally, I indicate that the research that has been carried out is of utmost importance for the
professional career that we carry out and therefore it becomes an important and referential
point for the practice of management of information technologies.
II. OPINION

It is unquestionable the benefit that social networks have brought, in the aspect of the
enormous facility they provide for intercontinental communication and the transfer in real
time of information. But in recent years have brought disorders and even risks for users and
those around them.

In principle, the new generations, increasingly obese, do not manage to detach from the seat
in front of their computer monitor, others do not take their fingers off their cell phones, losing
not only real interaction time with tangible humans, especially their relatives, but also
postponing their tasks and studies for preferring to follow obsessively the smallest nonsense
that appears in any of these social networks, arriving in most cases to fall into the compulsion
and obsession, then it is already talking about addiction to social networks. This disease
increases enormously, and thousands of people lose not only school subjects, some the entire
school year and even work, when they completely disregard their duties to attend to any
novelty in the networks, even if it is something totally absurd.

On the other hand, also increase the cases of young people assaulted by other users, who
harass them and upload photos or humiliating videos of their unsuspecting victims, who most
of the time, give private information to anyone who wants to interact with them, without
thinking it before, and they only find out about the video or photo, when another acquaintance
sends them the information. It is then that they realize their error, but too late: their image is
damaged and is almost impossible to erase from the Internet.

Therefore it would be helpful for parents to be more attentive to their children, so they know
how to handle these technologies so provechoza as a working tool or to communicate with a
distant relative and not make this a complete defect where they spend full days in front of the
monitor, and in this way avoid problems with families and school. And at the same time
living in a healthier way.
III. ARGUMENTS

According to DEVAE 2012, it indicates that:

The new generations prefer to sit in front of the screen whether it is a computer
or a TV for hours, instead of taking advantage of their valuable time to take a
breath, live with the family, or in a general way socialize with the
environment that surrounds them. This behavior as a consequence
has brought problems with their families and with people close to them.

All this is reflected in the school environment, since, spending hours during
the monitor of a computer, leave aside everything related to the study, as for
example begin to neglect their tasks, do not pay full attention to their teachers
or are more irresponsible.

According to RUIZ, Mack 2016, states that:

People who remain for long hours in their social networks, can present various
diseases and mental disorders and physical state because of their
addiction; some of the disorders and diseases.

In educational institutions, it has been observed that the majority of students

have mobile phones from which they connect to their networks, both during
rest periods and during class hours; this last event causes inattention in the
learning process. The students because of their addiction.

According to MOYA, Mariangel 2015 indicates that:

The use of social networks causes different degrees of distraction; they

become vices or generate a great loss of time when it comes to completing
school or work. The duty of every teacher is to know the proper use that are
given to networks such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, YouTube, among
others. In fact, some young people are spending so much time using these
applications that they can develop addiction to them.
IV. CONCLUSION

In conclusion, social networks can be very entertaining, but we must apply our knowledge in
the assigned work with greater responsibility and precision.

The Internet and social networks are used by university students for the most part. Despite the
positive aspects of social networks, you can see some risks and negative consequences.

That is why it is better to use social networks, only for what they were made, but taking care
not to fall into addiction or neglect studies. They can be very entertaining, but in the end,
there is the real world, and to survive in it real knowledge is needed, outside of virtual reality.
