Summary of Duties & Responsibilities: This Social Media Manager will use her or his skills and talents to

work collaboratively with other members of the marketing team and cross-functionally with sales and
education to build and execute Ambar Distributors USA’s social media strategy, resulting in Ambar USA being
considered a social media leader in the industry. The Social Media Director should have a strong creative mind
and understanding of brand positioning who can help communicate the brand voice and aesthetic to a wide
demographic across all social platforms. The Social Media Director should have experience building
relationships with advocates and influencers, creating organic opportunities for partnership and engagement,
have a strong focus on how social media trends are evolving and a keen eye for leveraging metrics to track
results and return. This individual will be a thought leader, partnering with other leaders in Sales, Marketing
and Education to create unique and fun campaigns to drive brand awareness, enthusiasm, and ultimately
growth of Ambar.

Leadership Expectations:

 As part of the overall brand plan and in collaboration with the SVP of Sales, Education, and Marketing,
the Sr Director of Marketing and other leaders analyze the current social platforms as well as currently
untapped platforms. For each platform, design and create a unique and appropriate branded
experience to build, communicate, and engage our unique communities.
 Partner with members of the marketing team to identify influencer and collaboration opportunities
that are organic and engaging
 Direct and implement the day-to-day operations related to Social Media with responsibility for
building a robust and aligned content calendar, operating metrics, and creating processes that support
engagement**
 Collaborate with members of the sales team to create a process of engaging appropriate influencers
and potential advocates in the professional beauty space and the broader beauty/lifestyle space
through monthly mailers and regular communication
 Build a manage a small dedicated and passionate team that loves beauty and social/digital engagement
and create processes to effectively plan, create and delivery exciting and on-brand content, as well as
review results

Qualifications/Skills:

 Bachelor’s Degree preferred and a minimum of 3+ years of driving brand growth on social media -
preferably within beauty or fashion
 Experience leading a team to build and execute digital brand marketing, consumer-direct digital
marketing and social media marketing plans
 Strong demonstrated creative eye, sense of design and aesthetic across social media platforms
 Proven track record of growing social media followers with high levels of engagement, as well as the
ability to articulate how the platforms grew
 Pre-existing influencer or advocate relationships established within beauty and lifestyle strongly
preferred
 Working knowledge of platforms like SocialBakers, Crowfire or Trello strongly preferred
 Personal ability to create quick social content using the latest apps and tools
 Working knowledge of Adobe Suite and Indesign a plus
 Experience creating storyboards for digital content or social campaigns
 Outstanding organizational and time management skills, and an ability to collaborate on edits and
design aesthetic
 A passion for continuous improvement and skill development
 Self-motivated, resourceful and highly motivated
 High focus on details and a track record of creating exceptional content
