I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to;
1. discover the habitats of the animals,
2. write in the notebook the different kind of animals,
3. Observe carefully in describing carefully the habitats of the animals.

B. Lesson Proper

1. Motivation
THE TURTLE WHO WANTED TO FLY

A turtle who lived by the sea


wanted to fly.”If I could only fly once I
would be the happiest turtle”, he said.
Soon he saw an eagle flying
nearby.
“Teach me how to fly”, said the
turtle. “I promise to give you all the
treasures of the sea”.
The Eagle was happy. He held the
turtle with claws and flew up with him.
When they were up in the sky, he
dropped the turtle and said, “there you
can fly now”.
Down fell the turtle on the rocks. He
was badly hurt. His shell was broken
too.

Children did you understand the story?

2. Unlocking of Difficulties

TURTLE-a slow-moving reptile,


enclosed in a scaly or leathery domed
shell into which it can retract its head
and thick legs.
EAGLE-a large bird of prey with a
massive hooked bill and long broad
wings, renowned for its keen sight and
powerful soaring flight.

3. Presentation

Class our new lesson for today is all


about “ADAPTATIONS OF ANIMALS”

 All animals need food and


shelter to survive.
HABITAT- is the place where an
animal live naturally.

TERRESTRIAL ANIMALS- animals


that live on land.

AQUATIC ANIMALS- those animals


live in water.

AERIAL ANIMALS- those that stay


most of the time in the air.

 Some animals are able to live


both on land and water.
