Conceptual Framework Reflection

LEADERSHIP
While the area of language arts has always been my
strong suit as a student, it has proven to NOT be my
strong area as a teacher. I have always found math to be
“easy” to teach, as it was a subject that was difficult for
me as a student, and once I realized it wasn’t so “scary”, I
learned I could effectively pass that mentality on to my
students, and guide them to be successful.
Taking this class was of immense benefit for me, because
it showed me many ways that I can effectively incorpo-
rate reading into other content areas.

METHODOLGOY
As the syllabus states, this class guided me in …
“developing and implementing curriculum using a varie-
ty of instructional strategies to encourage students’ de-
velopment of critical thinking, problem solving, and per-
READING IN THE CONTENT
formance skills”. I was constantly having to think out-
FIELDS
side the box with the given assignments, and through
that process, created quality activities that I have since
used in my own classroom this year!
