Maayong Adlaw kanatong tanan!

At the outset, allow me to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful people
who made this activity more meaningful and successful.

Let me begin by thanking the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) officials and
employees led by Regional Director Joseph H. Orilla, MPA, for being our gracious host.
(Adlib…) And of course, our sincerest appreciation to the ever-dependable Sir Opong of
DAR Regional Office XI.

Second, also our gratitude to all the Officers and employees of the Sugar Regulatory
Administration (SRA) spearheaded by Atty Roland B Beltran, Member of the Board, for
taking the lead in actualizing the noble intentions of the Sugarcane Industry
Development Act (SIDA Law) of 2015.

Indeed, this is truly a momentous event for all the stakeholders of the Sugarcane
Industry, the small farmers particularly, the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs).

We would like to congratulate the Pasig Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries and Upland
Farmers MPC (PARBUF) for being the 1st ever LANDBANK-SRA financed Sugar Block
Farm under the Socialized Credit Program (SCP) - in the entire Philippines. My only
fervent appeal to the officers and management of PARBUF, please take good care of
the credit assistance granted to you as the next ARB Organizations/ Coop beneficiaries
will be looking up on you and our success.

Correspondingly, to our partner government agencies, it is my firm commitment that

LANDBANK Davao Lending Center will continually be your partner, your willing
conspirator in ensuring that our ARB- farmers are given preference in terms of access
to our friendliest loan windows.
With the permission of our newly crowned Filipino pride Ms Universe Catriona Gray, let
me end by paraphrasing her very wonderful answer.

“LANDBANK has worked hard to reach out every corner of the countryside and we
witnessed how life was difficult for most farmers and fisherfolks. As we symphatize with
our Filipino farmers’ plight, and that LANDBANK has and will always looked for ways to
uplift most of our farmers’ lives.

“We have always been trained to look for every opportunity to help, to find fulfillment in
putting happiness in the faces of the farmers, the fisherfolks and to be grateful for such
accomplishments. I would bring this aspect as the LANDBANK Davao Lending Center
Head to see situations with a silver lining, and to assess where we could give more,
where we could provide timely and prompt credit assistance. If we can receive also
from our assisted farmers the simplest appreciation, then we could have an amazing
country where hardships could not grow and foster, and our children, the generation to
come would have a smile on their face.”

Again, Congratulations to all of us. I am Jose Enedicto “Joen” G. Faune, Assistant-Vice

President of LANDBANK Davao lending Center, together with the dynamic and beautiful
people of LANDBANK Davao LC, we will be at your service. Maayong adlaw sa pagusab!
