Photosynthesis Comic Strip and Video!!!

It is time to bring together all that we learned in this unit. The goal of this assessment is
to see how much you have learned about photosynthesis and energy in organisms. Your final
project is going to be in two parts. First, you are going to create a comic strip that shows the
entire process of how light energy is transformed into chemical energy. Also, it will highlight the
important inputs and outputs of matter. Be creative! It is a comic strip! The second part of the
project will be to create a YouTube video. You will be using this comic strip as a storyboard, a
guideline, for your video.

Directions:

1. Grab a blank sheet or sheets of printer paper.

2. Your comic should have at least 6 panels.
- You are welcome to do as many panels as you’d like.
- You are also welcome to use as many pages as you’d like to cover the process, but
you need a minimum of one page.
3. Your comic strip should start at the beginning of the processes of photosynthesis
- You should include the sun, water, carbon dioxide, and a plant
- You should also include how the plant absorbs these input materials.
4. Your comic strip should then portray the plant cell, the chloroplast, and the organelles
involved
5. Your comic strip should mention the two steps of photosynthesis and the products produced
6. You must include the equation for photosynthesis within your comic strip.
7. Your comic strip should end with how photosynthesis affects the biosphere
8. After you are done with the comic strip, use it as a storyboard for your YouTube video.
- Simply follow your story panels and use your own words to explain the process.
9. Your video has no time limit, but at a minimum, it does have to mention what you included on
the comic strip.
-You are welcome to add more detail in your video
10. Submit the link to the video to me through the submission box below and turn in your comic
strip.

Have fun with the project! It’s Science and Art! Be informative and be creative.
Make it about superheroes! Make it a play! Let your imagination run!
