I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:

b. Classify pronouns in sentences;
c. Compose simple sentences using pronouns.

Now, let’s read and encircle the nouns in the selection.

How many nouns did you find? Let’s count them.

B. Developmental Activities

2. Presentation:
Classify pronouns in sentences assigned to your group. I will only give you 10 minutes. Cooperate
with each other.
Group 1: Subject Pronouns Group 2 – Object Pronouns

Group 3: Possessive Pronouns

3. Teaching Modeling
The words that the group 1 encircled are called SUBJECT PRONOUNS, and the words that the
group 2 encircled are OBJECT PRONOUNS, while the words that the group 3 encircled are called
POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS.

Pronouns are words used in place of nouns.

Personal Pronouns like, I, you, he, she, we, they, and it functions as subject pronoun or the
subject of the verb.

Personal Pronouns like me, you, him, her, us, them, and it function as object pronoun. They are
used as the object of the verb, It answers the question what or who after the verb.

-Feminine object pronoun is HER.


- Masculine object pronoun is HIM.

Possessive pronoun is used to denote possession. The possessive pronouns are mine, yours, his,
hers, ours, and theirs.

Look at this chart. These are the subject, object and possessive pronouns.
4. Guided Practice
Group pupils into 4 groups and answer the following exercises.
Group 1: Write an appropriate subject pronoun on each blank. Refer to nouns in the
parentheses.

3. Our new pet is ________. ( a dog)
4. Marion’s sisters are _______. (Jennifer and lovely)

Group 2: Box the object pronouns of these sentences.

3. The enemies will haunt us because we have the thing they want.
4. Father turned it into something new and appealing.
5. The fruits mage him healthy.
Group 3: Write possessive pronouns to complete the following sentences.
