Overview:

Effective communication skills are essential for all irrespective of the nature
of the job, the experience they possess, the level in which they are, the
department in which they work or the organisation they work.
Communication happens regularly whether we plan for it or not.

The success in official and personal life depends to a great extent on how
well one communicates. To grow up in one’s career and to develop others
you have to communicate effectively with your colleagues and with those
whom you come in contact on a daily basis. Good communication can help
you to manage conflicts and improve relationship with all.
Communication is so important that it can spiral growth or plunge one to
his or her downfall. Miscommunication can be a disaster. Similarly if
communication is not done at the right time the purpose would get
defeated.
Effective communication leads to good team work, better accountability,
better ownership and consistency of deliverables. The benefit of being a
good communicator is very long and the best thing is every one can become
a good communicator with efforts and interest. Effective communication
skills have to be developed fine-tuned, refreshed and nurtured on an
ongoing basis.
Learning the art of effective communication will help you to function
effectively in your job. Since the only person you can be sure of changing in
communication is you the practical solution would be to change yourself to
influence others.
