Heavy rains are very frequent in the Philippines and so the holes easily form on

the galvanized sheets usually used as the roof for their self-built houses. Nowadays,
many houses have problems with their roofs, including rusting and holes. This big
problem is difficult to find solution, because almost all of us have financial problems.

Sealant are perfect for repairing cracks that provide a waterproof seal that can
used to seal roof or galvanized sheets. To show contribution to the society, and to
do something with unusual weather especially in rainy days. The study focuses
“Interfuse Dita Tree( Alstonia scholaris) and Mango Tree ( Mangifera indica)
SAP as components in makingan Organic Roof Sealant”

The Dita (Alstonia scholaris) and Mango Tree(Mangifera indica) is from the
rubber latex family native to the parts of the world especially in Asia. Dita Tree and
Mango tree is abundant and under in conservation in the Philippines and considered
as giant trees with different benefit to people. In lieu with the 276 Republic Act no.
3571, entitled Conserving the Natural Resources of Growing trees, Flowering
Plants. Stated that the state shall have the responsibility to promote the
Conservation of Natural resources and safeguard the environment especially the
trees.

The conducted three trials were in the roof sealant with galvanized roof was

submerge to the water in 30 minutes, 2 hours and 5 hours and the result was

astonishing that the roof sealant can resist in five hours and more. The amount of

time (min) to takes for the solution to completely harden 20 minutes in the room

temperature of 40 degree Celsius. The best percent of three components in order to

attain an effective organic roof sealant is containing 25% of dita sap, 25% of mango

sap and 50% of solution creates a sticky and hard organic roof sealant.
