W
ork immersion is one of the post
secondary readiness that the K to
12 program is offering to senior high
school students. A senior high school student
has to undergo Work Immersion in a busi-
ness organization-establishment whose work
requirements are related to the specialization.
Through this immersion, these students are
exposed to and are able to experience the
work related environment that is in line to their
chosen field of specialization or strand. Work
immersion is a key feature in the Senior High
School curriculum and can be conducted in
many different ways.
Work immersion will help develop learners
life and career skills, and will prepare them
to make decisions on post secondary
education or employment”, DepED. The
guidelines on immersion also reads, “Through
parnership building, DepEd hopes that the
partner institutions will provide learners with
Work Immersion opportunities, work place or
hands on experience, and additional learning
resources”.
Through the work immersion the SHS students
will be able to experience the actual job and
work guidelines that is stimulated in every
companies. Work immersion is not an actual
agreement to work but rather a process in
which the students demonstrates the process of
working and improving the knowledge shared
by school. Also this is where the imitation of the
real work takes shape.
Having proper training helps in the preparation
of the future professionals for their jobs. What
the students learned in their work immersion,
even a little, can be applied when they are al-
ready working.Students will be trained not only
academically but socially as well. Work immer-
sion builds experience while shaping the future.

cies and guide the learners to pursue their chosen career.
It also aims to develop a better nation.
The work immersion is under the curriculums.
It gives oppor tunities to the learners:
1. To develop a better communication not
just to peers but to those on higher positions.
2. To adapt a new environment and to
be able to see what their desired jobs and
real world environment would be like.
3. To improve the skills, develop their
intrap ersonal, and apply their competen
cies and learnings inside the classroom.
4. To prepare them after graduations
and future employment.
Learners will be deployed to their respec
tive and chosen companies. Laboratories,
offices, hospitals, establishments and
other facilities will be some of the target
places for the learners to immerse and
experience the actual job of their chosen
strand.

rk immersion is a subjetc to complete the K-12
program, inside the program different ideas
were developed.
Immersion is a subject training to the student who take in
Grade 12 level, the subject also open their mind in a possiblity
to choose career work in the future.
The Dagatan National High School offer Academic Track
course like ABM, STEM, HUMSS and TVL course SMAW and
Cookery. As a planned Academic Track should be placed in
immersion in school, establishment and offices, while SMAW
will go to industry and Cookery will be placed in restaurants
and hotels.
To start work immersion choosing partners is one of the chal-
lenges faced by Dagataneans. Principal, Heads, and Immersion
Coordinators are the responsible in the said problem.
After choosing the perfect partner the documents necessary
will be provided. The memorandum of agreement, waiver,
insurance, endorsement and resume must be secured.
All of the documents is not the end of the program, it is just
the beginning of the student training in work immersion.
During the work immersion coordinators in every track de-
ployed and monitor student trainees in their respective area.
After work immersion finished narrative and certificate of train -
ing are submitted to the coordinators.

to pursuing further education and/or joining the work
world. To achieve greater congruence between basic
education and the nation’s development targets, work
immersion, recquired subjects that has been incorporat-
ed into the curriculum. This will provide learners with
opportunities:
1. To become familiare with the workplace;
2. For employment simulation; and
3. to apply their competencies in areas of specialzation/
applied subjects in authentic wok environments.
To achieve the above objectives, work immersion is thus
a requirement for graduation from secondary education.
Learners are immersed in actual work environments
such as workshops, offices and laboratories in which
their prior training is relevant.
Taysan Municipal Hall
M ayor Grande P. Gutierrez, one of the part-
ners who actively participates in every
school’s activity with which one is the immersion
activity. They offer immersion offices that is in the
municipal hall of Taysan. The offices includes:
Mayor’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, MDRMM Of-
fice, Agriculture Offices, Engineering Office and
other available offices.
Jesus of Nazareth Hospital
F or those who are dreaming of becom-
ing doctors, nurses and medical staffs,
Jesus of Nazareth Hospital offers such
opportunities for the students. They won’t
only be able to see what’s the environ-
ment of hospitals and will be able to know
the situations and jobs available in such
facility. With the active partnership with
Dr. Libio A. Macatangay, Director of Jesus
of Nazareth Hospital, we are able to de-
ploy our students to their available offices.
Taysan Police Station
T hrough the help of our police officers our
learners are able to immerse themselves to the
environment of our protectors. HUMSS students
aspiring to become one of them are very excited
knowing that our policemen are willing to accept
immersion students.
Elementary Schools
O ur very own educators were also one of the
partners that are aiding us in providing real
time experience in providing learnings to our
childrens. School partners include the following:
Dagatan Elementary School, Laurel Elementa-
ry School, Mapulo Elementary School, Sto. Nino
Elementary School and other elementary schools
near us.
Ramy Construction Inc.
W elders do love actual application of their
skills and learners. Teofilo B. Manuel, Gen-
eral Manager of Ramy, accepts our immersions
students and helps our learners to be exposed in
their desired work/job in the future. Being able to
be engaged in actual working area of welders
greatly helps our SMAW students.
Buklod Unlad Multi-purpose
Cooperative
T he learners were able to have actual
experience in their field in this cooper-
ative especially our accounting students
and tech-voc students since they offer
jobs regarding food production. With
the approval and acceptance of Atty.
Percival De Mesa, we are able to deploy
learners in the said facility.
Pontefino Batangas
P ontifino offers 3 tiered accommodation options
for business travelers. This hotel accommodates
events which are very in line with our cookery stu-
dents. Our immersionist were able to experience
hands on activities regarding their field. They also
absorbs students after graduation which gives our
learners great opportunities.
