VI. EVALUATION QUESTIONS AND PROBLEMS

1. How would you make 440mL of 1.5 M HCl solution from a stock solution of 6.0
M HCl?

2. How much of 4.00 M KOH solution is needed to neutralize 45.00 ml of a 2.5 M

H2SO4 solution?

3. A chemistry student finds that it takes 34.0 ml of 0.1N acid to neutralize 10.0 ml
of household ammonia. What is the normality of the ammonia water?

4. A solution was prepared by dissolving 13.5 g of sucrose, C12H22O11, in 100 g of

water. The volume of the solution was 108ml. Express the concentration of the
solution in terms of:

a) % by weight of sucrose

b) Molarity

c) Molality
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS:
My understanding of the experiment 6 findings is about Acid-Base
Titration. By combining 0.1 NaOH with HCl solution and
phenolphthalein in the beaker, it becomes pink by combined with each
other. The more you've added, the darker it gets.

CONCLUSION:
My point about the experiment is that you should control the
amount of NaOH you apply, so you can get the perfect acid
color.
