CASE 1. STATE UNIVERSITY BOARD OF REGENTS: What Am I Living For?

Question:

Is there anything wrong with the actions of the three personalities in this case?

Answer:

I believe yes. For Mr. Francisco Bundoc, being the president of the local chapter
of the prominent citizen representing the students’ cause, he failed to maintain integrity
in his position and disposition after becoming more accommodating to Dr. Agao. His
actions showed that he is a person who can be swayed by money and not of justice.

To Mrs. Bundoc, after feeling overwhelmed with the good affect her partnership
with Dr. Agao brought to them, he placed his husband in a compromising situation. Her
desire to expand their business also put the students’ rights and opportunities in a
disadvantage.

In Dr. Agao’s case, having the pride of being the president of the university, he
was not accustomed to accepting defeat. The root cause of his unwise actions was his
pride. Executing plan through unfair tactics is not and should not be the method of a
leader, thus, Dr. Agao could be the reason why justice will soon not be found in their
institution.

If the organization is expected to survive, its action must be in consonance with

the ethical behaviour. The right person, the right attitude, and the right method are the
characteristics of a good organization.
