PROJECT SUMMARY

1. TITLE:

Positive Parenting Workshop and Orientaton

‘ Ina, paano ka ba Dumisiplina?”

2. IMPLEMENTER

The Masters in Educational Management students of Polytechnic University of the

Philippines Open University will be having a Project research about “Positive Parenting
Workshop/Orientation “and exclusively at San Jose Del Monte Heghts Elementary School parents
and this project will be handled and implemented by the teachers of San Jose del monte Heights
Elementary School and the help of other PUP OU officials and SJDMHES administrator.

4. TARGET GROUP

The target of this project are the parents of San Jose Del Monte Heights Elementary
School. ( SJDMHES Parents)

5. COOPERATING AGENCIES

The cooperating agency of this project is the San Jose Del Monte Heights Elementary
School.

6. TIME FRAME

This extension project will be atleast twice a year for the workshop of parents in San
Jose Del Monte Heights Elementary School. It will started by the first week of October and
second week of February 2019. These are the frame of time in conducting Poject research.

8. IMPACT STATEMENT

We are a teacher of San Jose Del Monte Heghts Elementary School and will be having a Project
research about “ POSITIVE PARENTING ORIENTATION” with the “ Theme : Ina, pano ka ba dumsiplina ?”
As a teacher we know that a disciplined of a child is came from their home and the first person who
teach their child is their mother itself, it’s the big help to one of the parent to know the positive
disciplined for their children. Based on a research that the one most common problem of our country
nowadays is a “ POOR PARENTING” and eventually, if their mother disciplined their child positively then
the result of this is the positive attitude from their children and to their environment where he/she
belong.

9. SUMMARY

The Research Project titled ‘POSITIVE PARENTING ORIENTATION’ is an extension program of

MEM students of PUP- OU. This is a one year program that aims to help San Jose del Monte Elementary
School parents aware of how they positively disciplined their children.

10. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION

The extension program is inspired based on the observatIons of many teachers of San Jose Del
Monte Heights Elemenatry School. This is the proposal project of teachers institutionalizing Civil Society
engagement and involved Extension Service Programs that maybe it can help to build a strong and
healthy relationship among parents towards their children.

Starting this year, the SJGMHES teachers aims to provide an orientations among the
parents of the said school, because as we observed that many parents in our school they didn’t
really know how to disciplined their children positively, as we always observed that the attitudes
of their child mostly is based on how they treat them and how their mother upbring them in

their home and besides more parents is in need of orientations that will help her to upbring
their child in a positive way . and how she will learn to disciplined her child if she didn’t know
how to be a good parent.

11. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES Of “POSITIVE PARENTING ORIENTATION”

Our aim is to help our parents in our school to have an orientation to help them to be a good
parents to their children and to give the right disciplined to their children and maybe in a simple
way of helping them we can provide the good citizen in our barangay and in our school where
we belong.
